Welcome to IAA Video:
A new employee welcome video that I worked on from concept to final delivery. My responsibilities include preparing video storyboard, supervising in-office recording with the CEO and Chief People Officer, taking B roll footage (at both Chicago branches and corporate office), creating all graphics elements, audio mixing and selecting, editing everything together to deliver a welcome video that represent IAA's culture. The video is shared via QR code printed on postcards which would be sent to new hires before they start their first day.

Customer Service Representative Recruitment Video:
A series of recruitment videos I worked on that focuses on high-turnover roles. These are used by HR on their career site job posts to give potential candidates an idea of what it is like to work at IAA as a CSR.
Employee Onboarding Training Video - Rock Star Vacation

This is one of several employee onboarding training videos I worked on at Jellyvision for a Fortune 500 company client, which teaches their new employees about building a safe and respectful work environment. I worked closely with the writer, artist, and sound designer to bring the script to life with vivid animation and timing.

My role:
Animator, motion graphics designer, media producer

Responsibilities:
-
Participated in concept generation
-
Created fully-animated video in After Effects based on scripts and storyboards
-
Edited sound effects and music with animation
-
Prepared video files for client delivery

Challenges:
-
There were a lot of moving parts and characters in this video. Animating the arms, legs and facial components for each character was very challenging, and required heavy attention to details. Even for background characters who were on screen for just a second, I animated them differently to give them some unique personalities.
-
Using animation to tell a compelling story was key, and I always looked for ways to make the story more engaging. For example, each calendar sequences were delivered differently so viewers could feel Sylvia's emotional stress and relief as story progressed.
-
Production time was short: I had to put together this video from the storyboards in a week.
