About
Hi, I’m Vicky — a multidisciplinary designer and creative storyteller based in Chicago.
I specialize in motion design, video, and product storytelling, turning complex products, ideas, and business challenges into visual experiences that feel clear, engaging, and human.
Currently, I’m a Senior Digital Experience Designer on KPMG’s in-house Creative Services team, where I create high-visibility work across AI and technology products, brand campaigns, executive communications, client pursuits, social content, and live events. My role often starts before production - partnering with stakeholders to shape the concept, visual direction, and story - and continues through motion design, editing, and final delivery.
From complex ideas to clear stories
My background spans interactive media, learning and development, product marketing, and brand storytelling. Before KPMG, I worked at IAA creating multimedia and learning experiences for a global workforce, and at Jellyvision developing interactive B2B products and creative content for Fortune 500 clients.
Across each role, the common thread has been the same: understanding the audience, simplifying complexity, and finding the visual idea that makes a story easier to understand and more memorable.
I’m comfortable moving between creative direction and hands-on production, whether that means developing a visual concept, storyboarding a product launch, directing a shoot, designing motion graphics, capturing a software demo, or editing the final film.
A little more about me
I grew up in Harbin, China and studied Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University, specializing in animation and video game design.
In 2016, I was the subject of a story featured on the front page of the Chicago Tribune business section which focused on my life and my role at Jellyvision.
I'm also a pretty competitive video gamer. I won 3rd place at Midwest Championships in Super Puzzle Fighter 2, and 3rd place at Robert Morris University Fireside Tournament for Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft.
